I mean great wine is kind of this wonderful metaphoric experience or synesthesic experience. ((Solar Plexus)) It’s incredibly complex, it has its own vocabulary. I guess it kind of just gives us a glimpse of the complexity of nature itself and the intelligence of nature itself. ((Close To Nature, Nature, Nature Writes The Menu)) And that’s — it’s so amazing to have — be able to take it in, and literally take it in, in this very personal way, and just get a glimpse of how utterly ordered and complex and intelligent nature is or can be. That’s what’s kind of breathtaking about it. It’s heartening, it’s consoling, I think. It’s one of the consolations of life’s travails. ((Pipe Smoking))
