I mean, Joseph Wagenbach, also is for me the most interesting character because when I say I cast some of his sculptures into bronze, then you must imagine I’m a contemporary, haptic, conceptual artist of the 21st century. For me, casting things in bronze can be almost a nightmare of conservatism, but for Joseph Wagenbach, in his romantic and hopeful and completely driven and delusional existence, casting some of his things, his objects, his beautiful sculptures into bronze, would have been a dream. ((Chocolate Machine, Seized By A Certain Hunger)) So, Joseph Wagenbach’s dream is Iris Häussler’s nightmare, and I live in this fiction as a conceptual artist.
