Censorship was very, very severe when I was young. Of course it’s loose, it’s much better now, but even when I was in United States as a visiting professor, I felt the censorship in the United States. And some of my articles were not permitted in the New York Times, and some of my speeches were cut in the TV in the United States. So, there is censorship in the United States, but the censorship in Egypt is much more severe. I said now it’s better than when I was young, for instance during the 60s, 70s, it was great, it was big, even Sadat has to put me in prison in 1981 as censorship to stop me from writing.
