A machine that celebrates competition works on competition within itself. So, the people who work within it, compete with each other, against each other, which then drives the situation where you have the people who have the least empathy in general, not always, in general, to come out on top. But they’re not necessarily bad people, they go home to kids, they go home to a wife, they love them, they aren’t out there — the head of — I don’t know, IBM doesn’t go home and set fire to kittens. Again, it’s that kind of sort of simplistic attitude, everybody wants an answer. Well, sometimes answers aren’t that easily found, and you have to accept that there just aren’t some answers. There aren’t answers in faith, there aren’t answers in party politics, there aren’t even answers in ideologies. ((God Or Science, Ideology))
