By not having learned conventional guitar technique, I kind of forced myself to collaborate. ((All Happening Parallel)) If I want to write a song, I can write a melody, I can write a lyric, but I can’t provide harmony. So, I need to work with somebody to work on the harmony of the song. And the music that I really love is pretty involved harmonically, Brazilian music and Rhythm and Blues, R&B, is — it’s not three quarter rock and roll, so I don’t know, I’ve found it interesting to juxtapose my kind of, whatever you want to call it, my style with really great players, and put what I do in a really complex musical environment.
