The idea of an angel, and the idea — I mean, you find in all belief systems, the idea of humanity winged. It’s there in all of them. And it’s a great idea. It’s a wonderful metaphor for — it is, and it’s a wonderful metaphor for freeing ourselves from the miseries of what daily existence, particularly when you go back to life for the ordinary person, specifically before the sort of 19th, 20th centuries, when if you didn’t have money, life must have been generally unremitting misery in the greater degree for a lot of people.
